You’ll receive a confirmation email with your payment details. BPU accepts online payments via credit/debit card, check, or bank account. You can also setup recurring payments to have your bill paid automatically each month.
Pay By Phone
If you prefer to pay your BPU bill over the phone, call 1-855-BPU-BILL (728-2455) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You’ll need to provide your 10-digit account number and billing zip code.
BPU accepts payments over the phone by credit/debit card or checking account. There is no fee for paying by phone.
Pay at a Kiosk
For customers who want to pay in cash or by check, BPU has partnered with PaySite kiosks located around the Kansas City metro area.
To find a kiosk near you, visit the BPU website or call 1-877-876-7076. The interactive kiosks accept cash, checks, and credit/debit payments.

Auto-Pay and Recurring Payments
For ultimate convenience, enroll in BPU’s automatic payment program called AutoPay. This secure service automatically withdraws the amount due from your bank account each month so your bill gets paid on time without any effort on your part.

Same Day Payments
If you need to pay your BPU bill the same day to avoid disconnection or late fees, you have several options:
- Pay online before 7 PM
- Pay by phone before 7 PM
- Visit a PaySite kiosk – most are open until 7 PM
- Pay in person at the BPU office before 4 PM
As long as your payment is received before the 7 PM cutoff time, your account will be credited the same day.
