Paying your water and sewer bill to Georgetown County Water and Sewer District (GCWSD) is easy whether you want to pay online by phone, by mail or in person. GCWSD offers multiple options to fit every customer’s needs. In this article, I’ll go over the different payment methods available and provide tips for setting up and using online bill pay.
Online Bill Pay
Paying online is the most convenient option for many GCWSD customers. To set up online bill pay, first visit GCWSD’s website and click on “Pay My Bill” at the top of the homepage. This will take you to the login page for GCWSD’s online payment system.
If you’re new to paying online, you’ll need to register for an account. Click on “Register Here” and enter your first name, last name, email address and account number from your water bill. Check your email for a temporary password sent by GCWSD. Use this password and your email address to log in for the first time.
Once logged in, you’ll be prompted to link your water account to your online profile. Enter your account number again, along with the last two digits of the account number (your tenant number) Finally, create an alias or nickname for this account so you can easily recognize it later
With your account linked, you can now make one-time payments or set up recurring automatic payments. GCWSD accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards for online payments. Make sure to update your payment method and billing address if your card number or address changes.
Pay By Phone
If you prefer to speak to a real person, GCWSD accepts payments over the phone. Call 843-546-8408 and select the billing and customer service option. Have your account number ready to provide to the representative. Then just follow the prompts to make your payment using a debit or credit card.
Pay By Mail
To pay your water bill by mail, write your account number on your check or money order and mail it to:
Georgetown County WSD
PO Box 100180
Columbia, SC 29202-3180
Be sure to allow enough time for your mailed payment to reach GCWSD by the due date. Late payments will incur additional fees.
Pay In Person
You can also pay your water bill in person at one of GCWSD’s two office locations:
- Georgetown Office: 4145 Highmarket St., Georgetown, SC 29440

Both offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, except on holidays. When paying in person, you can pay by cash, check or credit/debit card.
