HVUD bills for water and sewer usage each month Expect to receive your bill around the same time every month. Carefully review the charges to ensure they reflect your normal usage.
The bill will list important dates like when payment is due and when late fees apply after the due date. For residential customers HVUD bills are due within 21 days. The due date for commercial accounts varies.

Pay by Phone

Mail Your Payment
To pay your bill via mail, detach the payment stub from the bottom of your paper HVUD bill. Indicate the payment amount, then mail the stub with your check or money order in the return envelope provided.
Make checks payable to Harpeth Valley Utility District. Allow 3-5 mailing days so your mailed payment arrives by the due date printed on your bill. Do not mail cash.

The office is open Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm, except on major holidays. Bring your bill and pay by cash, check, money order, or card. Let the representative know you are there to pay your bill.
Use the Drop Box
For paying after business hours, HVUD has a 24/7 drive-up drop box outside its office. To use it:

Place your payment stub and check/money order in an envelope. Do not deposit cash.

Write your HVUD account number on the payment.

Seal the envelope and deposit into the drop box slot before 4:30pm on your due date.
Enroll in Auto Pay
For easy automated payments each month, enroll in HVUD’s auto pay program. This authorizes HVUD to withdraw your bill amount directly from your bank account on the due date each month.
To enroll, complete HVUD’s auto pay authorization form online or in person. Provide your HVUD account number, bank details, and signature.
You still receive a paper or email bill for your records. On the due date, your balance is deducted from your bank account automatically.
Avoid Late Fees and Disconnection
If you are unable to pay your HVUD bill by the due date, a 10% late fee will apply. Accounts more than 30 days past due may face disconnection.
Contact HVUD immediately if you anticipate having trouble paying on time. Payment assistance programs and payment plans may be available based on eligibility.
Disconnected service will only be restored once the past due balance and a reconnection fee are paid. Avoid expensive shut-offs by keeping your account current.

The Harpeth Valley Utilities District’s regular monthly Board of Commissioners meetings for April and May, 2018 will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 and Monday, May 21, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the District’s office at 5838 River Rd., Nashville, TN. The remaining regular monthly meetings will be held at the normal time, on the 4th Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
