In this article, I’ll walk you through the quickest and easiest ways to pay your Horry Electric bill by phone.
Understanding Your Horry Electric Bill
Before making a payment it’s important to understand what’s on your Horry Electric bill. Your bill contains several key pieces of information
-
Account number – This unique number identifies your account You’ll need this when paying by phone
-
Total current charges – This is the total amount due for your current bill.
-
Due date – This is the date your payment must be received by to avoid late fees.
-
Payment stub – The lower portion of the bill that you send in with mailed payments.
Knowing where to find this information on your bill makes the phone payment process faster.
Three Easy Ways to Pay Your Bill by Phone
Horry Electric offers three convenient phone payment options
1. Automated Phone Payment System
The automated phone payment system allows you to pay your bill 24/7 without speaking to a representative. To use this system, dial the Horry Electric payment line at (843) 369-2211. You’ll be prompted to enter your 10-digit account number and the exact total payment amount printed on your bill. The system accepts payments by debit/credit card or electronic check.
This is the quickest phone payment method since there’s no wait time to speak with a representative. I like using the automated system to pay late at night when I realize my bill is due soon.
2. Live Representative Phone Payment
If you prefer to speak with a live representative, Horry Electric’s customer service team can process your payment over the phone from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. To pay by phone with a representative, call (843) 369-2211 and select the billing and payments option.
The representative will ask for your account number, name on the account, service address, and payment amount. They can take a debit/credit card or electronic check payment. I opt for representative payments when I have bill or payment questions I want to ask.
3. Horry Electric Mobile App
The Horry Electric mobile app offers an easy phone payment option right from your smartphone. After downloading the app, log in to your account and select “Pay” to enter your payment details. The app uses stored payment information to process quick one-time or recurring payments.
I love the convenience of paying through the app while out running errands or before sitting down to dinner. The payment processes in just a few taps without having to talk to anyone.
