8 Easy Ways to Pay Your JEA Bill Online

Paying your JEA bill online is the most convenient way to stay on top of your utility payments. With multiple options to suit your needs, JEA makes managing your account hassle-free. In this article, I’ll walk through the easiest methods to pay your JEA bill online.

Have a JEA Online Account

The best way to manage your JEA account is to sign up for an online account at jea.com. With an online account, you can view your current and past bills, monitor your usage, set up automatic payments and more.

To pay your bill through your JEA online account, you have a couple choices:

Pay from Your Bank Account

Store your bank account details securely in your JEA account. Then each month, simply log in and schedule your payment. The funds will be withdrawn from your account automatically on the due date.

This is the most convenient option since you don’t have to manually enter any information each month. Just log in, review your bill, and click pay.

Pay with a Debit or Credit Card

You can also opt to pay directly with a debit or credit card each month. JEA accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

When you go to make a payment, you’ll enter your card details through JEA’s secure payment portal. Just like with a bank account payment, you can review your bill first and then proceed to checkout.

Schedule a One-Time Payment

If you don’t love autopay but still want the convenience of paying online, scheduled one-time payments are a good option.

You can schedule a payment up to 30 days in advance when using your bank account. Simply pick a future date, enter the payment amount, and confirm your account details.

JEA will email you a confirmation when it’s scheduled. Then on the payment date, the funds will automatically withdraw. It acts just like autopay, but it’s a one-time event you control.

Set Up Recurring Credit Card Payments

JEA’s Fast Pay feature lets you save a credit card on file to charge automatically each month.

When your bill is ready, you’ll get an email confirming the amount. Just click the link to approve it, and the bill will be paid from your saved card.

It’s the easiest way to put your JEA bill on autopilot if you prefer credit card payments over bank transfers. And you can update the card details at any time right from your online account.

Use Guest Pay Without an Account

Don’t have a JEA login yet? No problem! Guest Pay lets anyone make a quick one-time payment.

Just go to jea.com and choose Guest Pay. Enter the JEA account holder’s name and address, then proceed through checkout with your credit card or bank account.

You can even use Guest Pay to send a payment gift to a friend or family member. As long as you have their JEA account details, you can cover their bill or make a partial payment.

Pay by Phone

Call JEA at (904) 665-6000 anytime to make a payment over the phone. The automated system will guide you through the steps.

You can use a bank account, credit card, or debit card when paying by phone. The charge will process immediately, so you don’t have to wait for your payment to post.

Pay at an Authorized Location

If you prefer to pay in person, JEA has authorized payment locations across Jacksonville.

You can find a list of pay stations here. Places like Winn-Dixie, Walmart, Amscot, and more allow you to pay your JEA bill in person.

Just bring your latest bill or know your account number. The payment will hit your account within an hour in most cases. It’s a quick and easy option for those who don’t mind venturing out.

Pay by Mail

Go old school and mail a check or money order to JEA. Make sure to include your account number on the payment.

Send your mailed payment to:

JEA
P.O. Box 45047
Jacksonville, FL 32232-5047

Just allow 5-7 days for a mailed payment to process and post to your account. And double check you have the correct postage before dropping it in the mailbox.

Pay at the Downtown Office

You can also pay in person at JEA’s downtown Jacksonville customer center. The reps can help with any account needs like starting/stopping service, account transfers, payment plans, and of course taking your payment.

The downtown office is located at:

JEA Downtown Customer Center
21 West Church Street
Jacksonville, FL 32202

This is a good option if you have any account issues to discuss or prefer handling business face-to-face.

Choose Your Preferred Payment Method

As you can see, JEA offers numerous ways to pay your bill online and through other convenient channels.

You can even split a payment between different methods, like paying half on your card and half from your bank.

Review all the options and choose the ones that fit your lifestyle best. And you can change it up as needed if your circumstances evolve.

The key is finding a payment method you’ll actually use consistently each month. Setting up autopay or scheduling recurring payments removes the effort of remembering to pay manually. But you still stay informed on your usage and billing details through your online account.

Paying your JEA utility bill online is fast, easy, and secure. Avoid late fees, keep your services active, and take control of your account. JEA’s online options make bill payment simple and straightforward. Sign up for an account or Guest Pay today to get started!
