Lee’s Summit Water Billing Overview
The City of Lee’s Summit provides water service to residents and charges for this service on a monthly billing cycle. Water meters are read around the 15th of each month, and bills are sent out soon after.
Payment for the previous month’s water usage is due by the 10th of the following month. For example, the bill for March water usage would be due on April 10th.
If payment is not received by the due date, a late fee of 5% is added to the outstanding balance. The city does not allow Arrangements for past due bills on accounts that have been shut off.
Bills include charges for water usage as well as a fixed monthly fee. The fixed fee covers some of the operational costs of the water system. Rates are approved by City Council and adjusted periodically.

Complete the Authorization Agreement for Direct Payments form and return it by mail, fax, or in person. This form authorizes drafting your checking or savings account each month for the amount due.
Bank drafts occur on the due date and avoid late fees. You can cancel bank drafts with a 7-day notice if needed.
