Online Bill Pay
The safe payment portal is the fastest and easiest way for most people to pay their water bill online. To get started, visit myboca. us and click on “Pay Water Bill” under the Online Payments section. This will direct you to the login page for the online payment system.
If you already have an online account, simply enter your username and password. Otherwise, click “Register” to set up a secure online profile Have your most recent water bill handy to enter your account number, address and other details
You can see your account balance, payment history, and billing information once you’re logged in. Choose how much you want to pay, then enter your credit or debit card information or bank account information. Check your payment information and click “Submit.” You’ll receive instant email confirmation that your payment was processed.
Online payments can be made anytime and avoid stamps or driving to the utility office. However, there is a third-party processing fee of $2.40 per transaction. For quick and easy bill pay access from your computer or mobile device paying online is hard to beat!
Phone Payments
To pay your water bill over the phone with a credit card, call the City of Boca Raton Utility Billing Division at 561-393-7750. You can also use the automated payment system for fast, convenient phone payments.
Have your account number and card details handy when you call. Phone payments are subject to the same $2.40 processing fee as online payments. While not as immediate and visual as online bill pay, the phone payment option is great for anybody without computer access or who prefers talking to a representative.
Automatic Bank Draft
For supreme convenience, sign up for automatic monthly bank draft payments. This authorizes the city utility to automatically withdraw your water bill amount from your checking or savings account each month. There are no convenience fees when paying by bank draft.
To enroll, complete and submit an ACH authorization form, available on the city website or by visiting the utility office. Attach a voided check and indicate the account you wish to have debited. Going forward, your bill will be paid automatically on the due date so you never have to think about it!
Mail-In Payments
If you prefer to pay your water bill through the mail, send a check or money order made payable to City of Boca Raton Utility along with your payment stub to:
City of Boca Raton PO Box 31042Tampa, FL 33631-3042
Mail your payment at least 7-10 days before the due date to ensure it arrives on time. Be sure to include your payment stub to credit the proper account. While not as convenient as electronic payments, mailing a check gives you a paper record and avoids online fees.
In-Person Payments
To pay your water bill in cash, check or money order in person, visit the City of Boca Raton Utility Billing office located at 6500 Congress Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33487. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. In-person payments allow you to talk directly with a customer service rep and get same-day payment confirmation without any processing fees.
Drop boxes are also available 24/7 outside city hall and the utility office to drop off check or money order payments if you can’t visit during business hours. Be sure to include your bill stub and do not put cash in the drop box.
Payment Through Your Bank
Many banks and credit unions allow you to pay bills online through their website. To take advantage of this option, simply set up the City of Boca Raton Utility as a payee in your bank’s online bill pay system. They will automatically mail a check or process an electronic payment on your behalf by the due date.
While the city doesn’t directly offer this method, using your bank’s bill pay service allows you to view and pay all your bills from one place. Contact your financial institution to enroll.
When are Water Bills Due?
The City of Boca Raton bills residential water accounts monthly. Your due date depends on your meter reading cycle, but is typically around the 20th of each month. Check your individual water bill for the exact due date to avoid late fees.
Accounts not paid by the due date will incur a $10 late fee. If your account becomes delinquent, your water service may be disconnected until the past due amount is paid, incurring a $35 disconnection/reconnection fee. Pay by the due date to avoid penalties!
Get Account Alerts
In addition to flexible payment options, customers can receive alerts about their water account through the city’s Notify Me system. Sign up to receive notifications about billing schedules, due date reminders, past due accounts, scheduled shut-offs and other account activity.
Stay updated on your account status so you know when your bill is coming and when payment is due. Access Notify Me through the online bill pay portal or city website. Adding alerts makes it even easier to pay your water bill on time!
