Simplifying Water Bill Payments for Pickens County Residents

Paying your water bill should be a quick and painless process. However, for many Pickens County residents, paying their water bill has historically been an inconvenient chore. With outdated payment systems and limited options, residents have struggled with late fees, long lines, and wasted time.

Fortunately, Pickens County has recently taken steps to modernize water bill payment with the launch of new online and mobile services. These convenient new options are streamlining the process and saving residents time and money.

The Challenges of the Old Payment System

Prior to the updates, paying your water bill in Pickens County meant either mailing in a check or stopping by the Pickens County Water & Sewer office in person These limited choices presented several headaches for residents

  • Inconvenience Taking time out of your busy schedule to drive across town and pay in-person was a major annoyance. Similarly buying stamps and mailing bills was an inconvenient task.

  • Long Lines The office was only open 9-5 on weekdays which meant long lunch hour lines to pay bills in person.

  • Late Fees: With no online payment reminders or options, it was easy to forget or miss the due date, resulting in late fees.

  • No Payment History: Without online account access, residents had no way to view their past statements or payment history.

  • Limited Payment Methods: Paying by cash or check only was restrictive compared to modern payment preferences.

These challenges demonstrated the need for more payment options to bring convenience and efficiency to Pickens County water bill pay.

Introducing New Online & Mobile Payment Systems

To address these issues, Pickens County introduced two new water bill payment systems:

  • Online Payments: Residents can now pay water bills conveniently on the Municipal Online Payments website.

  • Mobile Payments: The Municipal Online Payments app allows water bill pay via iPhone, Android and tablet devices.

With these new systems, paying your Pickens County water bill has never been easier or more convenient.

The online and mobile payment options provide a wide range of benefits:

  • Convenience: Pay anytime, anywhere in just minutes via computer, smartphone, or tablet.

  • Avoid Late Fees: Set up text or email reminders to always pay on time and avoid penalties.
