Living in Wayne County? Then you likely get your water from either the Wayne County Water & Sewer Authority (WCWSA) or Wayne Water Districts. Paying your water bill on time every month is important to avoid any service disruption. In this comprehensive guide I’ll walk through all the ways you can pay your Wayne County water bill conveniently online by phone, or in person.
As a Wayne County resident myself who has been paying water bills for years, I’ve tried all the different payment options available. I’ll share my experiences with the various methods so you can choose the right fit for quickly and easily paying your water bill each month
Wayne County Water & Sewer Authority (WCWSA)
The WCWSA provides water service to a large part of Wayne County, including the towns of Arcadia, Butler, Galen, Huron, Lyons, Macedon, Marion, Ontario, Palmyra, Rose, Savannah, Sodus, Walworth, Williamson, and Wolcott.
Here are all the ways you can pay your water bill to WCWSA:
Pay Online
The easiest and fastest way is to pay online through the WCWSA website. They use a secure third-party payment system called Paymentus.
- Go to wcwsa.org and click on “Pay My Bill”
- You’ll be redirected to Paymentus where you can enter your account details
- Pay by credit/debit card or e-check for a $1.95 processing fee
I like making payments online because it’s quick and I know right away when the payment goes through.
Pay by Phone
You can also pay your WCWSA water bill over the phone by calling the Paymentus toll-free number at 1-855-385-4840. It’s available 24/7 and takes credit/debit cards or e-checks. The $1.95 processing fee applies here as well.
The phone system is automated so you just need to enter your account number and payment details. It’s convenient when I don’t have access to the online portal.
Pay by Mail
If you prefer, you can mail in a physical check or money order payable to “WCWSA” at:
WCW&SA
3377 Daansen Rd
Walworth, NY 14568
Just make sure to include your full account number on the check and allow 5 business days for it to reach and process. I mail my payment when I don’t have time to go online or call.
Pay In-Person
You can drop off cash, check, or money order payments at the WCWSA office located at 3377 Daansen Rd, Walworth NY during business hours, Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm.
They also accept payments at the Macedon, Marion, and Palmyra Town Halls during regular hours.
I try to avoid paying in person because of the time it takes. But it can be a good option if I’m in the area running other errands.
Dropbox Locations
For added convenience, WCWSA has secure 24/7 dropboxes to leave payments:
- In the driveway at the WCWSA Operations Center in Walworth
- By the pharmacy area at Dobbins Drugs in Lyons
- Behind the Sodus Municipal Building parking lot
Whenever I have to mail a payment, I try to utilize the drop boxes so I don’t have to rely on the mail service. Payments left in the boxes before 5pm are processed the next business day.
Wayne Water Districts
Wayne Water Districts provides water services to eastern Wayne County areas including Seven Springs, Pikeville, and the east side of Goldsboro. Here’s how you can pay your water bill to Wayne Water Districts:
Pay Online
The Wayne Water Districts website allows you to pay your water bill online anytime. Just go to waynewaterdistricts.com/bill-payment and enter your account details to process the payment by credit/debit card or e-check.
Payments made online will post to your account the next business day. I like the convenience of paying on their website 24/7 without having to leave home.
Pay by Phone
You can call 1-844-953-2842 to pay your Wayne Water Districts water bill over the phone using their automated payment system, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It accepts major credit cards and e-checks.
One thing to note with phone payments is that you’ll need to call the office if your account was disconnected to get reconnected after paying. The online option reconnects your account automatically.
Pay by Mail
Mail your check or money order to:
Wayne Water Districts
PO Box 1580
Goldsboro, NC 27533-1580
Be sure to allow plenty of lead time for postal delays. I avoid mailing payments because it has caused late fees for me in the past.
Pay In-Person
You can pay by cash, check, or credit card at the Wayne Water Districts office located at 3600 Commercial Dr, Goldsboro, NC. They are open Monday thru Friday from 8:30am – 5pm.
When I have to pay in person, I try to go early or late in the day to avoid waiting in a line.
After-Hours Dropbox
A 24-hour dropbox is located in the drive-thru area at their office if you can’t make it during business hours. Payments left in the dropbox before 5pm will post to your account the next day.
I utilize the dropbox to skip the post office whenever I’m mailing a payment.
Avoid Late Fees and Service Disruption
The key is paying your Wayne County water bill fully and on time every month, as failure to do so can lead to penalties, late fees, and even water service shutoff. Online and phone payments process quickest and let you avoid postal delays.
I recommend setting up automatic payments through WCWSA online portal or Wayne Water Districts bank draft authorization form. This ensures your payment is received on time without you having to remember due dates or take any action.
CUSTOMER WARNING ABOUT DOXO.COM THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE
There is an online bill pay website called DOXO.COM. It is a third-party website that allows people to pay their utility bills via that website.
It may appear that DOXO.COM is affiliated with the Wayne County Water & Sewer Authority.
IT IS NOT.
DOXO.COM may charge customers extra fees. And WCWSA has no control over when we receive payments made through DOXO.COM. Frequently they take two weeks to arrive, and this could result in the late payment fee being added to your account.
WCWSA uses Paymentus as its approved third-party payment agent.
