Online Bill Pay
Online bill payment for the Daly City water bill is the best option for most people. You can view and pay your bill online by creating an account on the Daly City website.
To register you’ll need your account number from your latest bill. Sign up for an account using your email and create a password. The online portal allows you to securely view balance info payment history and make payments by credit/debit card or e-check.

Pay By Mail
Don’t want to pay online? You can always send your payment by mail to the City of Daly City utility department. Your water bill includes a payment stub and mailing envelope. Take off the stub, put a check or money order inside, and mail it back.

For those who want to pay their Daly City water bill in person, you can visit City Hall at 333 90th Street. The Finance Department/Utility Billing counter is open 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am-11:30am on Fridays.
You can pay by cash, check or credit/debit card. Be sure to have your latest bill with you to reference your account number. In-person payment ensures your bill is paid on time.
Drop Box
There is also a drop box located out front of City Hall where you can drop off water bill payments after hours. Put your payment (including stub) in an envelope marked “Utility Billing” and deposit into the drop box anytime.
Payments left in the drop box by 3:30pm each day are processed same day. It’s a convenient after-hours option if you can’t make it during open hours.
Auto Pay
The easiest way I’ve found to pay my Daly City water bill is to enroll in auto pay. This automatically pays your utility bill each month directly from your bank account. It ensures your payment is always on time, giving you peace of mind.
To start, print and complete the Auto Pay form from the Daly City website. You’ll need to provide your Daly City account number, bank account and routing numbers. Return the form to City Hall or by mail.
Once enrolled, your monthly bill will be paid on the due date without you having to do anything. I love the convenience of auto pay!
Payment Centers
Daly City has partnered with authorized payment centers throughout the city for added convenience. You can now pay your water bill at the following locations:
- Lucky Chances Casino – 1700 Hillside Blvd
- 7-Eleven – 4296 Callan Blvd
- 7-Eleven – 365 Gellert Blvd
Simply bring your payment stub to one of these locations to pay by cash or card. A small service fee may apply. It’s another option if you prefer paying in person.
Budget Billing
If you want to spread out your water bill payments into even monthly installments, Daly City offers Budget Billing. This averages your usage over 12 months to determine a fixed monthly bill amount.
To enroll, your account must be in good standing. Apply at City Hall and you’ll receive a flat bill each month for easier budgeting. At year end, your account is balanced before renewal.
Financial Assistance
If you are having trouble paying your Daly City water bill, be sure to check if you qualify for a discount program. The Utility Rate Assistance Program (URAP) offers reduced rates to seniors and low income households.
Applications are available on the city website or at City Hall. Discounts up to 60% are available to help qualified residents maintain essential utility services.
Avoid Late Fees
To avoid late fees, be sure to pay your Daly City water bill by the due date printed on your statement. Bills are issued monthly and due 20 days after billing. A 10% penalty is added to past due accounts.
If your bill remains unpaid for 60 days, your water service may be shut off. Reconnection fees start at $50 during business hours. Pay on time to avoid penalties!
