As a Peoples Gas customer for over 10 years, I’ve tried all their payment options many times. Paying your gas bill on time is crucial to avoid service interruptions, so I wanted to share the easiest ways I’ve learned to pay that Peoples Gas bill.
Overview of Peoples Gas Payment Options
Peoples Gas offers a variety of payment methods including online, phone, mail, in-person, and cash payments.
I prefer paying through their website because it’s fast, secure, and lets you store payment information to simplify future payments. However, Peoples Gas still supports old-fashioned routes like mailing a check for those who prefer.
Below I’ll explain the major ways to pay your Peoples Gas bill and highlight the fastest options,
Paying Online Through MyAccount
Paying at www.peoplesgasdelivery.com through the MyAccount portal is my top recommendation. You’ll need to create an online profile, but it stores your payment info for next time.
Here are the steps to pay online with a MyAccount profile:
- Go to www.peoplesgasdelivery.com and click “MyAccount”
- Log into your MyAccount profile
- Select “Pay Bill” from the menu
- Choose a payment amount and method. Options are:
- Checking/savings account (fees apply)
- Debit/credit card (fees apply)
- Enter your details and submit payment
- Confirmation displays immediately
I like setting up autopay through MyAccount so I never forget. You can also go paperless!
Paying Through the QuickPay Website
You can also pay as a guest through the Peoples Gas QuickPay website without an account.
To use QuickPay:
- Go to www.peoplesgasdelivery.com/payment-bill/quick
- Enter your Peoples Gas account number
- Select a payment amount and method
- Provide your card or bank details to submit payment
- Confirmation displays after paying
Just know that QuickPay charges service fees for bank account and credit/debit card payments. I only use it for a one-time payment in a pinch.
Paying by Phone
To pay your Peoples Gas bill by phone, call 1-866-556-6005 which is available 24/7. You’ll need your account number handy.
Then choose whether to pay by:
- Debit/credit card – Fees apply
- Checking account – Fees apply
I don’t recommend phoning payments unless absolutely necessary since fees apply. Expect to allocate about 10-15 minutes on the automated system.
Paying by Mail
To mail a check, send it to:
Peoples Gas
P.O. Box 2968
Milwaukee, WI 53201-2968
Be sure to include the payment stub from your Peoples Gas bill
Mailed payments take 7-10 business days to process, so mail it 1-2 weeks early I only recommend mailing if you don’t have online access.
Avoid Late Fees and Keep Your Gas On!
I hope these Peoples Gas payment tips help you avoid late fees and service interruptions! Paying through MyAccount online is quickest, but they offer many options.
And if you ever need help paying your bill, Peoples Gas has programs for payment plans and financial assistance. Reach out to them if you get in a tight spot. Having reliable gas service is vital!
