Ways to Pay Your SCEC Electric Bill
SCEC offers several ways to pay each month and manage your electric account:

- Click Pay Now – Guests enter account number, registered users just login

Sign Up for Auto Pay
For maximum convenience, enroll in SmartHub Auto Pay to have your electric bill paid automatically each month. On your bill’s due date the amount due will simply be withdrawn from your selected payment method.
To set up Auto Pay:
- Log in to SmartHub online or in the app
- Click My Profile > Auto Pay
- Enter Payment info and confirm enrollment
Once active, Auto Pay will be marked “Enabled” on your account. You’ll receive payment confirmations each month and your bill will show as paid on its due date.
Pay in Person at the Office
If you prefer to pay your electric bill in person, you can stop by SCEC’s office during regular business hours, Monday thru Friday 7:30am to 4pm. The office is located at:

At the office, you can pay by:

- Check
- Credit or debit card
When paying in person, be sure to bring your monthly bill or know your account number. Let the representative know if you need a printed receipt.
Use the 24/7 Drop Box
For your convenience, a secure drop box for payments is located onsite at SCEC’s Ridgeway Street office. You can drop off your payment envelope 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The box is checked each weekday morning as staff arrive.
To use the drop box, simply place your bill stub and payment in an envelope and deposit into the drop slot on the box. Avoid depositing cash – checks or money orders are recommended. Your account will be credited promptly the next business day.
Payment Extensions and Assistance
If you are unable to pay your full electric bill by the due date, contact SCEC right away. They can discuss payment plan options and extensions to avoid service interruption.
You may also qualify for energy bill assistance programs through St. Croix County to help cover electric expenses. SCEC can provide information on eligibility and how to apply.

To go paperless:
- Login to SmartHub
- Click My Profile > Paperless Billing
- Select Paperless Billing and confirm
You can still print out statements from SmartHub if needed. But paperless billing reduces clutter and lets you access new bills immediately when they are ready.
