WCB’s mobile app offers all the same features and functions as online banking. Your logged in and everything? Great! Now we can dive into setting up and using Bill Pay.

Adding Bill Pay Payees

Bill Pay lets you pay almost any company, merchant or service provider electronically, saving you from writing and mailing paper checks.

Start by clicking on Bill Pay and selecting the “Payees” tab. Here you can add the various companies and accounts you want to pay. Enter details like:

  • Payee Name
  • Account Number
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Payment Amount

Common payees might include:

  • Credit card companies
  • Utilities like electric, gas, water
  • TV/internet/phone services
  • Insurance policies
  • Gym memberships
  • Mortgage or rent payments
  • And more!

I’ve set up payees for my Visa card, power company, Comcast bill, State Farm policy, LA Fitness membership, and apartment rent. The flexibility to pay anyone electronically makes handling monthly expenses a piece of cake!

Once entered, your payees appear in the Manage Payees area. You can edit or delete them anytime. Now we’re ready to set up payments!

Scheduling One-Time or Recurring Payments

Under the “Pay Bills” tab, you’ll see your full payee list. Select who you want to pay. Choose the payment amount, processing date, and delivery speed.

For one-time payments, pick the date you want the payment sent. Recurring payments process automatically each month. Super handy for bills that stay the same like rent, utilities, subscriptions, etc.

You can schedule payments days, even months in advance so they arrive on time without having to remember. For more urgent payments, choose next day delivery for faster processing…though standard delivery works great for most needs.

Tracking Payment Activity

Wondering if a payment went through or when that recurring credit card bill will process next? WCB lets you closely track payment status through online banking.

Under “Bill Pay” select “Payment Activity” to view:

  • Processing date
  • Payee paid
  • Amount
  • Account debited
  • Status (processed, scheduled, failed)
  • Confirmation number

You can also filter by date range or payee to analyze activity. Receive alerts on processed, failed or cancelled payments too. Managing payments & tracking their progress is refreshingly simple!

Receiving Alerts

Customize alerts so you’re notified:

  • When a payment processes
  • If a payment fails
  • When a recurring payment is sent
  • When a payment is cancelled (say your gym membership after quitting LA Fitness lol)
  • For other account activity notifications

Choose to receive alerts by:

  • Email
  • Text message
  • Push notification (mobile app only)

Configuring alerts keeps you effortlessly informed on payment status without having to log in or check constantly. One less hassle, am I right??

Using Additional Features Like AutoPay

Tired of manually scheduling recurring payments? With WCB’s AutoPay, enabled bills process automatically each month.

When adding a payee, simply check “Activate Auto Pay For This Payee” to enroll recurring payments. The amount will debit from your WCB account on the invoice due date monthly.

Other Handy Bill Pay Features:

  • Schedule future dated or recurring payments
  • Edit or cancel payments until processed
  • View year-to-date interest savings from electronic payments
