Access Quick Bill Pay
You can access Quick Bill Pay in two ways:
Online Account
- Go to XcelEnergy.com and click “My Account”
- Log in using your username and password
- Under “Billing & Payment”, select “Quick Bill Pay”
Mobile App
- Download the Xcel Energy Mobile App on your smartphone
- Log in with your online account credentials
- Tap on “Billing & Payments”
- Choose “Quick Bill Pay”
Both the online and mobile options make Quick Bill Pay available 24/7.
Check Your Balance
Once in Quick Bill Pay, the first thing you’ll see is your current account balance. This will indicate the total amount owed for your energy usage and services. You can select “View Bill Summary” to see a detailed breakdown of the charges.
Reviewing your balance and bill details allows you to see exactly what you owe before making a payment, You’ll also see your next meter read date and when payment is due to avoid any late fees,
Select Payment Amount
After checking your balance, it’s time to choose how much to pay. You’ll see three payment amount options:

Total amount due – Pays your full balance owed for the month.

Minimum amount due – Covers at least the minimum payment required and is shown on your bill summary.

Other amount – Allows you to enter a custom partial payment if desired.
Select the payment amount that works for you. The minimum due will prevent late fees, but paying the full balance minimizes interest charges.
Submit Payment
Once you choose the payment amount, it’s time to complete the transaction. Quick Bill Pay securely accepts multiple payment methods:

Bank account draft – Electronic transfer from your linked checking or savings account.

Credit/debit card – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover cards accepted.

Checking account – Directly provide your routing and account number to draft payment.
Select your preferred payment method and enter the necessary account details when prompted. Then review everything carefully on the payment summary before hitting submit.
Confirmation of Payment
As soon as your Quick Bill Pay transaction finishes processing, you will see a confirmation message. This will detail the payment amount, processing date, and confirmation number for your records.
You can print or email the confirmation page for reference. Payment will also show in your online account activity and next billing statement.
Set Up Recurring Payments
For even more convenience, you can enroll in recurring payments through Quick Bill Pay. This automatically deducts your bill amount each month from a selected payment method.
To enable recurring Quick Bill Pay:
- Access Quick Bill Pay and click “Recurring Payments”
- Choose to pay full balance or minimum due
- Select payment method and date to draft each month
- Review and submit request
